Getting Started

Install Scope, connect your Unreal project, and capture your first Rosetta Stone analysis.

1. Install the Scope plugin

  1. Download the latest Scope build from your Universi download link or marketplace listing.
  2. Drop the plugin into your project's Plugins/Universi directory.
  3. Enable the plugin inside Unreal via Edit → Plugins and restart the editor.

2. Connect your project metadata

Scope works best when it understands what you are building. Open the Scope Control Panelin Unreal (Window → Universi → Scope) and complete the Project Context card with genre, platforms, team size, and the current milestone. Scope syncs this before every analysis.

3. Capture a profiler trace

  1. Launch the built-in Unreal profiler (Session Frontend → Profiler).
  2. Record a 30–60 second trace around the issue you’re diagnosing (AI hitch, render spike, etc.).
  3. Export the trace (File → Save As) and drop it into the Scope Control Panel.

Scope automatically extracts Blueprint composition, BT/ST branch summaries, and material cost baselines.

4. Request an analysis

Choose Rosetta Stone Analysis, pick the subsystem you want to investigate, and confirm the scope. Scope captures the surrounding context without uploading your full project.

The digest includes a context recap, the focused view of your asset or trace, and recommended next actions.

5. Share with your team

Use the Copy Share Link button to generate a Universi-hosted URL. Scope redacts sensitive paths while keeping the diagnostic trail intact, so teammates can follow the same breadcrumbs.

You’re ready to iterate: apply fixes, capture a fresh trace, and rerun Rosetta Stone to validate improvements.
